Too busy, too lazy and with too much on my mind, I don’t think I’ll be posting during these last few days in soggy England. Hopefully I can entertain and amuse you with some witty tales tall and true later when I am home and having pangs of melancholy.

South East Asia, Scandinavia then Jordan and Bulgaria, a taste of Istanbul then 5 slothful weeks in the Greek islands, it’s been a mixed bag for sure.

Half looking forward to getting back to Australia but already itching to head overseas again. Typical!

It is not even travel anymore and I am not sure if I have gone into holiday mode. I’m just being here I am not thinking, I am not sightseeing. I am spending time with the locals and enjoying the culture. I appreciate where I am and very grateful to be here.

I have no plan, no schedule, no goals. It is heaven. Ok, this morning I did have to decide when I go to the next island and I bought a ticket. That’s my workload for today, back to the beach soon.

I might make an effort and add a few photos.

Sorry (sort of) for my laziness but be happy for me.

Distances are short so you can’t end up in the middle of nowhere and I can just start out walking and see what happens. At times a local will stop and offer you a lift.

There’s always somewhere to eat and buy a much needed cold drink and they are always tavernas with character and charm and often a great view.

There’s always some quaint accommodation or the locals will recommend somewhere better or I can just sleep on a beach chair on some perfect beach, cold refreshing shower included.

I had two perfect days where I started out with almost zero plan and even that changed with circumstances and I went to wonderful places and seen things I never knew existed.

Sometimes no plan is the best plan.

The random travel was great. I had a vague plan but completely changed it as I travelled. Stayed on a bus longer, walked along the coast, stopped at a tiniest beach for a cool drink, trudged up hills, hitched rides, was offered rides by passers by. Many other unexpected and improvised variations during the 2 days.
But I lie a little. I was told the dream village wasn’t really a village, too small. How great is that!?! So great I stayed three nights instead of one. The place is called Tsihrata (I need to check that) which is Turkish in origin.
Basically it was a few houses and two tavernas resting along a beach front. A few locals would come down from a village in the hills for a swim and most people were busy sitting around chatting. I did very little.
